Ondo state governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has directed that all motorcycles siezed by the Amotekun corps for contravening the restrictions in their operations be released upon the payment of fine.
Commander of the Amotekun corps, Adetunji Adeleye said governor Akeredolu instructed that Payment of fine will also be sequel to fulfilment of necessary provisions of extant laws.
Adeleye said motorcycles siezed from those on essential duties will be released to their owners once they provide proof of ownership and registration with relevant agencies of government.
He said the agency will begin to effect the release of the impounded motorcycles by the end of this week.
Adeleye reminded the people that the 6am to 6pm restrictions on okada operations is still in effect in view of the prevailing security situation and called for total complaince.
