As the yuletide sets in, traders lament low patronage

With just a few weeks to Xmas and New year celebrations, traders in Akure have decried low patronage.

Some of the traders who spoke on preparations towards the Yuletide expressed worry that the global economic downtown may affect the celebration altogether this year

Orange FM’s Oluseye Akinwalere reports that the yuletide is usually a season when hustling and bustling get to the peak.

For Business owners, it is the period to make quick gains.

However a visit to Arakale, Araromi, Adedeji and Isinkan markets showed low patronage but ome fabrics sellers said they are hopeful that business will improve soon.

Other traders also appealed to government to find a way of releasing more funds into the economy.

It is the expectation of all that things would take a different dimension as the festivals get close
