Buhari suspends Magu, appoints Umar acting EFCC chairman

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the suspension of the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu from office.

The President also asked the Director of Operations of the Commission, Mr. Mohammed Umar to take charge of the activities of the Commission.

The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami gave the information through his Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations, Dr. Umar Jibril Gwandu.
