A car bomb in Yemen’s southern port city of Aden targeted at the governor has reportedly killed six people
Governor Ahmed Lamlas and Agriculture Minister Salem al-Suqatri who are members of a separatist group in southern Yemen, survived the assassination attempt.
Information Minister Moammar al-Iryani said those killed were Lamlas’ companions and that seven other passers-by were injured.
He said those killed in the attack were the governor’s press secretary, photographer, the head of security and a fourth companion, as well as a civilian.
Firefighters and police were also on hand to contain the situation.
