Chief Imam of Akure, Akorede enjoins muslims to take lessons of Eid El Kabir beyond the festival



As muslims join their counterparts worldwide to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-kabir, faithful have been enjoined to live in sobriety even after the season.

The Chief imam of Akure, Sheik Abdulhakeem Yayi-Akorede gave the charge at the Eid prayer ground, along Oda road in Akure.

Orange FM’s Flora Iweanya reports that despite the light the faithful gathered at different prayer grounds for the rakat Eid prayer

At the Akure prayer ground, Oda road, Muslim faithful were led to the presence of Allah by Alhaji Yayi-Akorede, who also conducted the slaughtering of ram as a symbolic reference of the season.

The Deji of Akure Oba Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo also joined faithful in celebrating the season even as he called for prayers for Nigeria.

On the outskirts of Akure along Akure/Ondo expressway, faithful also converged on the Ahmadiyaah muslim jamat central Eid ground The solat was followed by a brief sermon where the Imam, Abdul Rahman Adewale enjoined worshippers not to derail from the real essence of Eid Al adha while they celebrate.Special prayer session was also held where faithful sought the mercies of Allah for themselves, Nigeria and the world.
