Chloé Zhao makes history at Golden Globes



Chloé Zhao has made Golden Globes history for being the first woman of Asian descent and second woman ever to win the Best Director award in the Golden Globes’ 78-year history.

Chloé Zhao accepted the best director – motion picture award for ‘Nomadland’ virtually from actress Bryce Dallas Howard who was onstage at the 78th Annual Golden Globes Awards.

Zhao is the first woman to win best director at the Golden Globes since Barbara Streisand won in 1983 for “Yenti”.
