Christians tasked on gratitude to God always

As Christians celebrated the first Sunday of March yesterday, the faithful gathered on different churches to express gratitude to God for His protection throughout the last month.

Orange FM’s Odunayo Odeja who visited some churches in Akure the State capital, reports that the clerics centred their sermons on love for one another, repentance and Godly living.

Churches visited in Akure the Ondo state capital, include Chapel of Grace, Gov’t House, Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shepherd Church Ondo road and Living Faith church Araromi, showed that worshippers seized the opportunity to acknowledge God for His mercy, love and protection.

Some of the worshippers who spoke with Orange FM said being alive despite all the odds is enough reason to return glory to God.

They promised to keep worshiping God at all times.

At the chapel of Grace Gov’t House, Akure, Postulant Arinola Abolade of Bishop Vining College of Theology tasked the people to be conscious of holiness in all their undertakings.

Similarly, Apostle Sunday Ojuolape of The Christ Living Church Araromi, Akure who centred his sermon on repentance, acceptance and redemption urged believers to give their lives to Christ

The cleric warned Christians to guard against activities capable of making them lose the blessings of God.

Prophet Samson Oluwamodede of the Prayer Centre Church of God, emphasied that love for one another is the greatest commandment.

At the various churches visited, there were testimonies and special thanksgiving sessions, while prayers were offered for continued peaceful co-existence.
