FRSC makes NIN registration a criteria for vehicle registration

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says it has made the presentation of a valid National Identification Number (NIN) compulsory for all categories of vehicle registration.

The Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem said this is in full compliance with the directive of the Federal Government on the harmonisation of citizens’ data.

FRSC had begun compliance with this directive since December 21, 2020, when the Corps Marshal directed that all applicants for the National Driver’s Licence must present their NIN before they would be captured for any class of licence.
