Gov. Akeredolu congratulates winners of Saturday’s off-cycle guber polls

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has congratulated the winners of the last Saturday’s off-cycle governorship elections in Kogi and Imo States, Governor-elect Usman Ododo and the re-elected incumbent, Sen. Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The governor reiterated that the victories signify the people’s endorsement of their leadership, and entrusting them with the responsibility of steering their respective states towards prosperity and progress.

According to a statement signed by the Governor, these elections underscore the increasing trust in our electoral processes affirming the democratic gains while highlighting the ongoing improvements in the Country’s electoral system.

The governor stated that the peaceful conduct of the elections reflect the All Progressives Congress, APC, political maturity and determination to eliminate violence throughout the electoral process.

Governor Akeredolu commended the efforts of the Independent National Electoral Commission and unwavering commitment to improvement which was evident in the commendable performance during the elections.

He expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for fostering a level playing field for all political parties showcasing commitment to decent governance and credible electoral processes, representing a remarkable improvement.
