Governor Akeredolu inspects renovation work at Ondo Assembly complex

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu yesterday paid an unscheduled visit to the Ondo State House of Assembly complex to inspect the ongoing renovation work at the premises.

The governor was received by the speaker of the house, Bamidele Oloyelogun, the newly elected Majority Leader Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi and the Clerk of the House Bode Adeyelu who conducted him round various sections of the assembly complex where renovation works are ongoing.

The Speaker told newsmen that the visit of the governor underscored his concern for the State Legislators and staff of the Assembly in their workplace.

While stating that their legislative duties have not been seriously hampered by the renovation, Oleyelogun said by the time the renovation of the Assembly Complex is completed, the legislators and workers in the assembly would be happy to have persevered during the renovation.

He added that the State Governor has been advised to transmit the 2021 Appropriation Bill to the house for consideration instead of the ceremonial presentation in view of the fact that the current temporary chamber of the house may not be spacious enough to host the Governor and his entourage during the Budget Presentation.
