The Ọwá of Idanre and paramount ruler of Idanre kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Frederick Adegunle Aroloye, Arubiefin IV, has passed joined his ancestors.
High Chief Christopher Oluwole Akindolire, the Lisa of Idanre land (traditional Prime Minister of Idanre), confirmed the monarch’s death on Wednesday morning. He noted that preparations for the necessary traditional rites are already underway at the palace.
Oba Aroloye, aged 102, had been on the throne since 1976.
