IGP orders manhunt for perpetrators of Kogi bank robbery

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has ordered a full-scale manhunt for perpetrators of the attack on the Isanlu Police Station and a commercial bank in the Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The IGP has also deployed a team of crack detectives from the Intelligence Response Team (IRT), Special Tactical Squad (STS) and Federal-SARS to Kogi State to ensure that the criminals are apprehended and brought to book.

In a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba, the IGP also directed the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police in charge of Zone-8 Police Headquarters, Lokoja, AIG Yunana Babas, to immediately assess and review the security arrangement in Kogi State and its environs to prevent any future occurrence in the state.
