IMF Says Nigeria, Two Other Countries Have Highest Weights At Bond Market

Nigeria , Ghana and Egypt are said to have the highest weight at the emerging bond market index.

This was according to a report by the International Monetary Fund IMF, published on Friday.

In terms of the relative importance, Egypt had2.6%, Nigeria 1.5% and Ghana 1.5% of EMBIG Global Diversified respectively.

The emerging market bond index is the benchmark index for measuring the total return performance of international government and corporate bonds issued by emerging market countries that meet requirements.
