Italy Defeat Belgium In Nations League To Finish In Third Position

Italy finished third in the Nations League on Sunday after defeating Belgium 2-1.

A volley from the Azzurri’s  Nicolo Barella in the second  half and 63rd minute penalty by Domenico Berardi sent off the Belgian team, missing the injured Romelu Lukaku and Eden Hazard to win the third-place playoff.

The European champions who were beaten in their semifinal on Wednesday by Spain losing after unbeaten 37 matches run, played at Turin’s Allianz Stadium with heightened zeal but Belgium’s poor luck continued after their semifinal loss to France on Thursday.
