For dastardly killing a 22 year old lady , Oluwabamise Ayanlowo who boarded his BRT Bus , Andrew Nice Ominikoron, has been sentenced to death by hanging by a Lagos State High Court.
Justice Serifat Sonaike in her judgement delivered on May 2,2025 said the Lagos State Government, through its prosecutors proved beyond reasonable doubt that the defendant committed the offence February 26,2022 on the Ajah – Lekki Expressway.
Andrew had been arrested in the course of investigation after Oluwabamise’s gruesome murder and was subsequently arraigned on four counts charge of rape, conspiracy with others at large and the murder of Bamise.
After the judge pronounced the judgement thus, “That for the death of Oluwabamise Ayanwola, you will be hanged by the neck until you are dead. May God have mercy upon you,”, Andrew grew restless and showed signs of bewilderment.
However, that did not stop security agents from marching him out of the courtroom to a waiting vehicle on his way to the Condemned Criminals Cell.
