Late Yeye Pojo Laid To Rest In Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State



Late Yeye Alice Olasokan Pojo has been buried at her country home, Ilara Mokin, in Ifedore Local Govt Area of Ondo State .

Aged, one hundred and five before departing, Yeye Pojo was the grand mother of Mrs.Lucy Ajayi, a member of staff of Orange 94.5 FM.

Orange FM’s Otobot Jim reports that the funeral service was held at St.Micheal’s Anglican Church, Ilara Mokin.

Delivering the sermon, Reverend Olaniyi Oluwasanmi tasked everyone to live in the consciousness of returning to the Maker someday.

The cleric also described Mama Pojo as a devoted christian who was always active in church.

Thereafter, the dust to dust rite was performed at her residence.

Children of the departed including Pastor Rufus Pojo and Mrs.Olanumo Adegbenro said despite Mama Olasokan’s age, the pain of her departure is huge but they are consoled by the fact that she lived well.

One of the Grandchildren, Mrs Lucy Ajayi eulogized her late grandmother as an upright woman 

Some family members including Amusan Olaniyi posited that the departed who was a strong bridge builder in the family, would be remembered for her good life and loving disposition.

At the reception, some guests urged the children, grand children as well as family members to follow in the footsteps of the deceased.

Late Yeye Alice Pojo who was born in June 1916, slept in the Lord on the June 14, 2021.

Until her demise she was the Olori Ile of Opokiri Ruling House in Ilara Mokin.
