Massive opening up of rural roads to boost food sufficiency begins in Ondo state

Towards ensuring food sufficiency, Ondo state Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu will in his second term embark on massive grading of all rural roads for easy transportation of Agricultural products.

The Senior special Assistant to the Governor on Agri-Business, Akin Olotu while speaking at this year’s World food day assured that the current administration gives priority to food security.

Orange FM’s Gunugunu Oweikimi reports that World food day is celebrated on the 16th of every year to draw global attention to food Production and security issues as food is unarguably the most important need of man for survival.

This explains Why government at all levels place premium on food Production by supporting the Agric sector.

The Ondo state Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Agri-business encouraged young graduates and other job seekers to venture into Agriculture.

The state Chairman of Cassava Growers Association, Fela Olorunnimodimu and his rice farmers counterpart, George Oladapo assured that farmers in the state would mitigate the effects of Covid-19 on food Production.
