NUJ reaffirms determination to stamp out quackery in journalism

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) says it will not relent towards ensuring that the Media Enactment Bill before the National Assembly is passed into law to rid the profession of quackery.

Secretary of the union in Ondo state, Leke Adegbite while featuring on Orange FM’s Current Affairs programme, Policy Talk decried the delay on the bill.

Adegbite who stressed that the media has been in the fore front in the actualisation of the current democratic dispensation maintained that Media organizations in third world countries face a lot of challenges hindering them from excelling.

He congratulated journalists globally for their efforts towards keeping the society abreast of happenings around them with a call for them never to relent in discharging their duties without fear or favour for societal development.
