Ondo state deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has commended the wife of the Governor, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu for her life transforming programs aimed at empowering the women and girl child in the 18 council areas of the state.
Aiyedatiwa gave the commendation at the opening ceremony of this year’s BEMORE and the summer tennis camp held at the public service training institute PSTI in Ilara mokin.
Government house correspondent, Gbenga Oluwajana reports that the ceremony attracted important dignitaries and girls drawn from the 18 council areas to participate in the program.
In his address, the deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa appreciated the wife of the governor, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu for the initiative, stressing that the programme has helped to develop women and girls in the state and beyond.
Aiyedatiwa congratulated the participants of the initiative and urged them to take the program seriously for their self development and benefit.
He also appealed to those who are yet to support the program to join hands with the first lady to further expand the horizon of the initiative.
Former commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Mrs lola Fagbemi also lauded Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu for the initiative and enjoined the girls to make good use of the program.
Participants were also optimistic that the programmes initiated by Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu will receive more support from stakeholders to accommodate more women and girls for their development
The Grand opening of this year’s BEMORE programme and summer tennis camp for young girls founded by the wife of the Governor, Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu provided the opportunity for all stakeholders to once again show their support for the initiative.
Highpoints of the two weeks program include health talk and award presentation to Arabinrin Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu for her contributions towards developing women and the girl child.
