The National Orientation Agency, NOA, says there have been several flood awareness campaign across the 3 Senatorial Districts of the state put in place to sensitize residents on preventive measures against ravaging flood.
State Director of NOA, Mrs. Adelayo Adefolalu while speaking with Orange FM said there is a great synergy between the Ministry of Environment and the agency toward combating the menace.

Following several predictions by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NIMET, that thunderstorms and strong winds will accompany heavy rains that will be experienced in the Federal Capital Territory(FCT) and 29 states of the federation
Ondo State which is among the states mentioned by NIMET including Ogun, Osun, Edo, Rivers, Cross River, Ebonyi, Abia, Imo, Delta, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, and few others.
Reacting to this development, the State Director of National Orientation Agency, NOA, Mrs. Adelayo Adefolalu said officers of the agency are across the 18 Council areas of the state sensitizing the people on the various challenges of flooding.
Adefolalu stated that the agency is in collaboration with the State Ministry of Environment and NIMET towards recording success in the sensitization process across the state
She explained that the agency files its reports on ravaged and gullible areas across the state to the government for quick and urgent attention.
On Waste Disposal, Adefolalu said culprits should be arrested and prosecuted
The State NOA Director pleaded with the people of the state to respect all environmental laws, desist from erecting structures on water ways and disposal of refuse at drainages.
