Ondo state police command has paraded eighteen suspected hoodlums who participated in the looting and destruction of private and public property during the escalated ENDSARS protests across the state.
The state commissioner of police Bolaji Salami said the command is committed to effectively policing the state.
ORANGE FM’s Igbekele Ologun reports that the Police commissioner who said he was shocked at the extent of looting, destruction, arson , stealing and armed robbery in various parts of the state noted that those arrested were caught in the act of vandalising and destroying the facilities.
Salami said there were no ENDSARS protesters arrested, adding that only hoodlums who hijacked the peaceful protest and turned it into criminal haven to wreck havoc on innocent citizens , police officers and private individuals are in police net
The police commissioner while warning miscreants to steer clear of the state thanked sister agencies for their synergy and collaboration in the process of arresting the perpetrators.
The suspects are expected to be charged to court soon
