Journalists in Ondo state are today joining their colleagues all over the world to celebrate Press Freedom day.
The day was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in December 1993 following a recommendation of UNESCO’s General Conference.
It serves as an opportunity to remind governments of the need to respect their commitment to press freedom.
It is also a day for journalists to reflect on professional ethics.
The theme for this year’s World Press Freedom Day is” Information as a Public Good”.
