Workers in Ondo state today resumed at their duty posts after the May Day holiday.
Orange FM’s team of reporters who visited private and public organizations reports that the workers were seen discussing issues which the nation’s workers are grappling with including non-regular payment of salaries and insecurity.
At the state secretariat, those who spoke to our crew commended the Akeredolu administration for struggling to meet its financial obligations to workers despite the dwindling resources but appealed to government to push harder for their sake.
They also appreciated the labour unions for maintaining a cordial relationship with government and expressed the opinion that the friendship will keep working in their interest
The Federal government declared yesterday a public holiday to mark this year’s International Workers’ Day.
