Ondo State Civil Servants today complied with the order by the state labour leaders directing workers to join the ongoing nationwide strike.
This was sequel to a statement jointly signed by the State NLC Chairman, Comrade Victor Amoko and the TUC Chairman, Comrade Clement Fatuase, advising workers in the state to appropriately comply with the directive to down tools .
The State Organised Labour explained that the strike is not against the Ondo State Government, but to protest against the maltreatment meted out to the national president Joe Ajaero in imo state shortly before the governorship election and impunity in the country.
Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies, were under lock and keys just as public schools were equally shut as students were asked to return home.
Banks, private schools and businesses however did not obey the strike as they carry on with their normal activities.#
