Opinion leaders emphasise compliance with Covid-19 preventive protocols

As the world battles another wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, health sector operators have again appealed to residents of Ondo state to comply with all preventive protocols .

A drive round the state capital shows the obvious disregard for the preventive measures signaling imminent crisis.

Oluseye Akinwalere reports that with the number of covid 19 cases on the rise daily there is an urgent need to ensure that the pandemic does not keep spreading.

The Acting Commissioner for Health Dr Jibayo Adeyeye charged the people to refrain from handling covid-19 protocols with levity as only then can one be safe and save others from the pandemic.

A Public Affairs Analyst Alhaji Lai Gidado said the second wave should be vehemently avoided as there will be more casualties should people continue to display ignorance on the reality of the virus.

Residents who spoke to Orange FM including Ifedayo Oluwasiji, Samson Femi and Mrs Samson advised people to refrain from being ignorant of the deadly virus.

It is important to obey guidelines put in place as they are there to protect the lives of the citizenry.

Only then can the nation adequately combat the virus.
