Owners of property destroyed by fire at Gbogi in Akure seek help



roperty worth millions of naira have again been destroyed by fire in Akure the Ondo State Capital.

The incident which occurred at Gbogi street in Akure involved three apartments and five attached shops.

Otobot Jim reports that no life was lost in the inferno.

Residents of the building who were asleep when the fire began were alerted by other residents of the area who noticed the fire.

The landlord Sunday Odofin said he and other occupants had to escape from the building as all efforts to put out the fire did not yield any positive result.

Some traders whose shops are attached to the building lamented that all their goods including foodstuff, textile materials among others had been destroyed.

They however, appealed to the appropriate authorities for intervention.
