Over 2000 exercise books have been distributed to pupils in primary and secondary schools at Ilara Mokin in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo state by a Philanthropist to cushion the effects of the economic crunch on parents and guardians.
The donor, Mr Adedeji Adewole Lugard said his decision to extend a hand of support to parents is towards ensuring that no child is denied access to basic needs for educational pursuit.
Lugard who was represented by Ismaila Adegbenro noted that giving back to the society is one of his greatest passions, hence the gesture which he believes will go a long way to assist the less privileged.
Some of the pupils who could not hide their joy expressed appreciation for being counted worthy to benefit from the gesture.
Speaking on behalf of the various school heads in the town, Alhaji Badamosi Tajudeen called on other well meaning individuals to emulate the gesture by contributing to the growth and development of education.
Over three hundred pupils and students benefited from the gesture.
