Others encouraged govt to make the policing structure and reform acceptable to all

The protests have prompted the federal government to swiftly disband SARS and create a new policing structure named special Weapons and Tactics team SWAT to curb criminality in Nigeria.

However, while the Governors in the southwest support the scrapping of FSARS from the police force, the Northern Governors insist that the disbandment of SARS will further aggravate criminality in the North.
