Team Nigeria  Gets New Kits In Birmingham. – AFN

The Athletics Federation of Nigeria, AFN, has said that Nigeria’s track and field athletes will extend their record making feats to the Commonwealth Games when the athletics event start on Tuesday after Saturday’s marathon races in Birmingham.

AFN President Tonobock Okowa spoke of the plans while unveiling the new kits for Team Nigeria in Birmingham  preparatory to the start of the track and field event at the games.

Okowa said he believes getting athletes to compete in good kits will  spur them to excel and that the AFN is ready to deliver like they did at the Olympics in 2021 when it ended a 13 year wait for a podium finish to the World U20 Athletics Championships.

He assured that the federation will soon sign a lucrative deal with a sportswear and equipment company very soon.
