The United States has drafted commercial airlines to help with the evacuation effort in Afghanistan.

Aircraft from United Airlines and Delta and many others will help to fly those already evacuated from Afghanistan to final destinations.

Days after the Taliban seized power, tens of thousands of Afghans are still racing to flee the country.

President Joe Biden is facing growing calls to extend evacuations beyond the end of August and UK prime minister Boris Johnson says evacuation efforts are improving.
