Waldrum Seeks Third Win With Super Falcons

Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum will be aiming for his third win as manager of the African champions, when they take on Equatorial Guinea in their final game of the Turkish Women’s Cup tournament today.

The 1999 World Cup quarter-finalists edged Uzbekistan 1-0, same scoreline they recorded over CSKA Moscow in their tournament opener on Thursday.

Equatorial Guinea have not exactly created any sensation at the tournament in Turkey, after losing their two matches to Uzbekistan and CSKA Moscow, conceded seven goals in the process.

Equatorial Guinea are the only team to have denied the Falcons the Africa Women Cup of Nations title, when they defeated the Falcons on home soil at the 2008 edition.
