Clean-up operations are underway in parts of the United Kingdom following the impact of Storm Boelo, which caused flooding and property damage, leaving thousands of properties without electricity.
Local media reports that the Energy Networks Association (ENA) said about 22,600 properties were directly affected by power outages.
The storm also claimed two lives on Sunday after falling trees struck two men in separate incidents.
One of the victims, a man in his 20s, died after a tree fell on his car in north London. The second victim was identified as 60-year-old Richard Baines, the long-serving curator of the popular Logan Botanic Garden in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.
Meanwhile, the UK Met Office has issued a yellow warning for strong winds, which took effect on Monday evening across the west coast of England, Wales and Scotland, as well as eastern parts of Northern Ireland. The warning is expected to expire on Tuesday.
The weather agency has warned of possible further power cuts, urging residents to prepare essential supplies, including torches and batteries, as recovery efforts continue.
