The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has made the Preliminary Register of Voters for the 2027 general election available online following concerns raised by Nigerians and other stakeholders.
In a press statement issued on Monday, the Commission said the register could now be accessed through its online platform, https://display.inecnigeria.
INEC explained that the move complements the physical display of the register conducted nationwide at Registration Areas from October 9 to 15, 2026, in line with Section 19 of the Electoral Act, 2026.
The Commission said the online publication was intended to improve public access to the register and strengthen transparency and confidence in the electoral process.
It added that claims and objections arising from the exercise were still being processed ahead of the certification and publication of the Final Register of Voters scheduled for December 15, 2026.
INEC reiterated its commitment to transparency, accountability and the implementation of the Electoral Act, 2026, towards delivering credible elections.
