The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has inaugurated its newly acquired national secretariat in Abuja as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The unveiling ceremony took place in the Jabi area of the Federal Capital Territory on Monday, shortly after an emergency meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee.
Those present included the National Chairman, Senator Moses Cleopas; the party’s National Leader, Senator Seriake Dickson; Senator Victor Umeh, representing Anambra Central in the National Assembly; and the party’s Rivers State governorship candidate, Dumo Lulu-Briggs, among other leaders and members.
The new facility is expected to serve as the party’s national secretariat and presidential campaign headquarters as it strengthens its organisational structure ahead of the elections.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dickson congratulated party members and supporters, describing the new secretariat as a unifying base for the party.
He said the development marked an important step in strengthening the party’s unity and organisational capacity as it prepares for the forthcoming general elections.
The inauguration forms part of the NDC’s efforts to establish a central coordination centre for its national operations and campaign activities ahead of the 2027 polls.
