Nigerian singer Omah Lay has postponed the remaining dates of his Clarity of Mind World Tour following a knee ligament injury sustained while rehearsing an acrobatic stunt in Los Angeles, United States.
The singer announced that the affected performances, scheduled to begin on October 30, would be postponed to allow him to concentrate on his recovery.
In a message to fans on social media, Omah Lay said he expected to spend the next four to six weeks recovering from the injury.
He assured ticket holders that further information regarding rescheduled performances and ticket arrangements would be communicated in due course.
The tour, which commenced on September 25 in Edmonton, Canada, was scheduled to take the singer across several cities in North America, Oceania, the Middle East and Europe.
Planned stops included Muscat, Istanbul, Zurich, Brussels, Berlin, Milan and London, with the tour originally expected to conclude in Warsaw, Poland, on November 30.
The postponement comes as the singer focuses on recovering from the injury, which reportedly occurred during preparations for an acrobatic stunt.
Omah Lay, whose real name is Stanley Omah Didia, rose to prominence in 2020 with hit songs including You and Bad Influence, establishing himself as one of Nigeria’s prominent Afrobeats artistes.
