Ahead of the Saturday election, APC Candidate, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has pledged to address the key challenges facing communities across the 3 senatorial districts.
Engaging with citizens and traditional rulers during his campaign tour to the 18 council areas, Governor Aiyedatiwa promised to strengthen democratic dividends for all and sundry.
Government House Correspondent, Olumide Adeluwoye reports that the Governor stated this at a special consultation event for Aiyedatiwa/Adelami 2024 held at the DOME, Akure.
The special consultation event organized by the Special Engagement Committee of the Ondo State Gubernatorial APC National Campaign Council witnessed a massive turnout of interest groups, including the NURTW, RTEAN, market women, student unions, Odua Peoples Congress, civil society organizations, persons with disabilities, okada riders, and both religious representative, among others.
In his opening remarks, Mr Femi Adekambi, Secretary of the Committee, emphasized the group’s commitment to securing a win for Aiyedatiwa/Adelami by fostering engagement with stakeholders across the State.
Representatives of key groups, including Kelvin Solomon, Special Assistant to the Governor on Student Matters, and Chief Imam of Supare Akoko, Alhaji Rasheed Akerele among others expressed their support for APC’s victory in the upcoming election and presented their respective demands to the Governor.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in his remarks, thanked the Special Engagement Committee for creating a platform to connect with various interest groups.
He acknowledged the issues raised and committed to addressing these concerns.
Reflecting on his recent campaign tours to all 18 council areas, the Governor affirmed his commitment to tackling the challenges experienced by citizens.
He urged them to support the continuity of his administration’s initiatives.
Katsina State Governor and Chairman of the Special Engagement Committee, Dikko Radda, represented by Deputy Governor Farouk Lawal, also extended gratitude to the diverse interest groups for supporting APC.
