The Ondo State House of Assembly has appointed Hon. Ololade Gbegudu, representing Okitipupa Constituency II, as the new Deputy Speaker. This follows the resignation of Prince Abayomi Akinruntan, who stepped down to uphold the principle of power rotation in the state.
During the plenary session in Akure, Speaker Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji announced the leadership change, with Akinruntan expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve.
Additionally, Hon. Olatunji Oshati was named the new Majority Leader, a decision ratified earlier during a parliamentary meeting.
