The Secretary to the Ondo State Government, Taiwo Fasoranti, stated this while speaking with journalists on behalf of the family following the death of the elder statesman at the age of 100.
Taiwo Fasoranti said Pa Fasoranti died peacefully in his room at about four o’clock on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, expressing gratitude to God for the impactful life he lived.
He described his late father as a man of few words but great wisdom, whose firmness, humility and guidance would be greatly missed by the family.
According to him, the late elder statesman remained committed to education until his final weeks, continuing to visit one of his schools despite his advanced age.
He urged Nigerians, particularly those who admired Pa Fasoranti, to honour his memory by educating children, giving back to their communities and embracing a life of service.
The SSG also disclosed that the family established a foundation in honour of the late patriarch when he turned 90, which has quietly provided scholarships to students at secondary and university levels across the country.
He assured that the family would sustain the foundation’s activities to preserve Pa Fasoranti’s legacy and extend educational opportunities to more children.
