Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence has confirmed her return to The Hunger Games franchise, reprising her role as Katniss Everdeen in the upcoming film, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.
Lawrence made the revelation during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, where she discussed reuniting with familiar faces from the popular film series.
The actress expressed excitement about working again with Josh Hutcherson and Woody Harrelson, who are also set to return to the franchise.
Hutcherson will reprise his role as Peeta Mellark, while Harrelson returns as Haymitch Abernathy, the mentor to Katniss and Peeta in the original films.
Unlike the earlier instalments, Sunrise on the Reaping is a prequel set 24 years before the events of the original story. The film centres on the 50th Hunger Games and the younger Haymitch Abernathy.
The movie is scheduled to hit cinemas on November 20, 2026.
