President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to perform the Umrah pilgrimage and pray for Nigeria’s peace, unity and progress.
The President arrived at the King Abdulaziz International Airport, where he was received by Nigeria’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Yakubu Gambo, and the Head of Saudi Arabia’s Royal Protocol, Ahmad bin Thafir.
Tinubu departed Abuja for the pilgrimage following an announcement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on October 28.
According to the Presidency, the President will perform the religious rites in Makkah, seeking Allah’s guidance and blessings for Nigeria and its people.
The pilgrimage is expected to provide an opportunity for spiritual reflection and prayers for the country’s peace, stability and continued development.
President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria next week after completing the pilgrimage.
