Nollywood actor, Ramsey Nouah, has explained why he deliberately keeps a low profile despite being one of the industry’s most celebrated actors for over two decades.
Nouah said he is more comfortable working behind the scenes than being at the centre of public attention, noting that staying away from the limelight helps him work better and gives him a sense of safety.
Speaking during an interview with newsmen, the actor stressed that his preference for privacy does not mean he avoids publicity completely.
He said he is always willing to promote his movies and discuss the characters he portrays, but prefers to keep his private life away from public scrutiny.
According to Nouah, the focus should be on the work rather than the personality behind it.
He said, “I’m able to work better with just being in the low, in the background than upfront. I feel safer in that lane. If I have a work or a job, I’ll promote the job. It is not about promoting myself, it is about the work.”
Nouah made the remarks while discussing his role as “Tornado” in his latest movie
