A 55-year-old motorist has narrowly escaped death after a moving train crushed his Honda car at the PWD railway crossing in Lagos on Friday morning.
The incident involved a train travelling towards Agege and a Honda car with registration number EKY 902 JT, according to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).
LASTMA’s Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment, Adebayo Taofiq, said the driver was rescued unhurt by the agency’s operatives and security personnel who responded to the scene.
The incident adds to concerns over safety at railway crossings and the need for motorists to exercise caution around moving trains.
