The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Ondo State has published the final list of candidates contesting the State House of Assembly election scheduled for February 6, 2027.
The list was displayed at the Commission’s state office in Alagbaka, Akure, and its offices across the 18 Local Government Areas of the state.
In a statement, INEC’s Head of Voter Education and Publicity, Olayinka Ogunseye, said the publication was carried out in compliance with Section 32(1) of the Electoral Act, 2026, as amended, and with the approval of the Commission.
The Commission urged candidates, political parties, residents and members of the media to visit the designated display centres to inspect the list of candidates contesting in their respective constituencies.
INEC reaffirmed its commitment to conducting credible elections, ensuring that votes count and strengthening the country’s democratic process.
