Sunshine Stars FC of Akure are set to assess their readiness for the 2026/2027 Nigeria National League (NNL) season at the AFH Pre-Season Tournament scheduled for October 15 to 24, 2026, at the FC Ebedei Stadium in Sagamu.
The Owena Whales have been involved in a series of friendly matches as part of their preparations for the new campaign.
The tournament offers the Akure-based side another opportunity to fine-tune their tactics, improve attacking efficiency and strengthen team cohesion ahead of the new season.
Former Super Eagles player and coach, Duke Udi, and his technical crew will be hoping to maximise the competition as the team intensifies preparations for the 2026/2027 NNL campaign.
Sunshine Stars will also be looking to build on their pre-season performances, sharpen their competitive edge and begin the new season with renewed confidence and determination.
