Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido and American gospel singer Kirk Franklin are set to release a collaborative song titled I Hope In You on Friday, October 30, 2026.
The announcement was made after Franklin shared a preview of the song on his social media account, generating anticipation among fans of both artistes.
The collaboration brings together two artistes from different musical backgrounds, combining Davido’s Afrobeats influence with Franklin’s experience in contemporary gospel music.
The project also marks a new development in Davido’s musical journey as he prepares to work directly with one of the most recognised names in American gospel music.
The relationship between the two artistes dates back to 2022, when Davido released Stand Strong, a song that featured The Samples, a choir associated with Kanye West’s Sunday Service.
Franklin subsequently showed his support for the song, strengthening the connection between the two musicians.
The upcoming release is expected to attract listeners from both the gospel and Afrobeats communities, further highlighting the growing relationship between African popular music and international gospel music.
