Mrs Damilola Olayemi, the widow of  the late Nigerian Gospel Singer Toluwanisings, has finally succumbed to mounting pressure over where to bury him.

For over a week, therehave been pressure on whether or not to bury her husband in his mansion in Ibadan, Oto State, following the 32 year old widow’s claim that she can’t be seeing her husband’s grave everyday for which she  rejected the plan.

She reportedly said she preferred him buried at the cemetery.

Toluwanisings’ father later insisted that the singer’s body should be taken to his hometown and be buried near his late mother if he can’t be buried at his residence in Ibadan.

The development sparked controversy on social media with many questioning Damilola’s love for her husband and calling for an investigation into his sudden death.

However, speaking amid the controversy in an Instagram video on Sunday, Toluwanisings’ close associate and colleague, Lanre Alewilese, made it known that the wife has finally agreed to the singer being buried at home.

Alewilese further said the the whole issue was a misunderstanding and pleaded with netizens to be calm and stop attacking the deceased’s wife.

“Please, for God’s sake, let peace reign. Damilola is very young for what she’s currently going through. I’m very close to the deceased; his wife is accommodating. All his band members can attest to this” Alewilese said.

He also added” The disagreement between Toluwanisings’ father and his widow has been resolved. What happened was just a misunderstanding”.

“The duo have agreed to bury Toluwanisings at his house. Please, Nigerians, let there be peace. If you truly love the singer, let his wife have peace now that his burial place has been resolved.”
