Veteran Yoruba actor, Yinka Quadri, has explained why he and some members of the Yoruba movie industry are supporting President Bola Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
Quadri attributed the support to Tinubu’s longstanding relationship with entertainers and his financial assistance to members of the industry over the years.
Speaking on the African A-List programme, the actor recalled that Tinubu had supported entertainers long before becoming president, dating back to his tenure as governor of Lagos State.
He also cited the president’s reported assistance to late actor Babatunde Omidina, popularly known as Baba Suwe, during his health challenges.
Quadri maintained that the decision to support Tinubu was influenced by personal experiences and the president’s past relationship with members of the entertainment industry, rather than politics alone.
