The submissions span several categories, including Album of the Year, Best Global Music Album, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best African Music Performance.
His sixth studio album, Oriadé, has been submitted in four categories, including Album of the Year, Best Global Music Album, Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, and Best Album Cover.
The track B4 B4, featuring Mayorkun and FOLA, has been entered for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best African Music Performance.
Another collaboration, Nakupenda, featuring TxC, Zlatan, Shoday, Scotts Maphuma and Al Xapo, has been submitted for Song of the Year and Best African Music Performance.
Meanwhile, Le Show, featuring Ayra Starr and French Montana, is under consideration for Best African Music Performance, while I Know Who I Be, featuring JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay, has been submitted for Best Music Video.
The submissions come as first-round voting for the 69th Grammy Awards runs from October 12 to October 22, 2026.
The nominees are expected to be announced on November 16, ahead of the awards ceremony scheduled for February 7, 2027, in Los Angeles, United States.
Davido previously received Grammy nominations in 2024 for his album Timeless and songs Unavailable and Feel.
However, the latest submissions do not guarantee nominations, as the entries must undergo the Recording Academy’s voting process.
The development underscores Davido’s continued pursuit of Grammy recognition and the growing international reach of Nigerian music.
