The Director-General of the Ondo State Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan, says Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s leadership and support are strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Olabimtan gave the assurance at the weekend in Akure while dismissing concerns about the preparedness of the state’s Presidential Campaign Council.
In a statement conveyed by the Chairman of the Council’s Media and Strategic Communication Sub-Committee, Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson, the PCC Director-General said the council was putting structures in place to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid and all APC candidates in Ondo State.
He explained that the inauguration of the state Presidential Campaign Council, chaired by Governor Aiyedatiwa, had strengthened the party’s mobilisation efforts across polling units, wards, local government areas and senatorial districts.
Olabimtan described the APC as a well-established political party in Ondo State, adding that the council was committed to coordinating its activities to secure victory across all elective positions.
He also cited the turnout at recent ward meetings across the state’s 203 wards as evidence of renewed grassroots engagement, noting that preparations were underway for local government and senatorial district meetings.
According to him, Governor Aiyedatiwa has made the victory of all APC candidates a collective priority for party members and stakeholders.
Olabimtan urged party leaders, candidates, stakeholders and independent campaign groups to work together under the council’s strategic mantra: “One Party, One Message, One Campaign Mobilisation.”
He disclosed that invitations had been extended to all APC candidates for a strategic harmonisation meeting to develop a coordinated campaign plan.
The PCC Director-General added that the council’s objectives extended beyond the presidential election to include the National Assembly and Ondo State House of Assembly elections.
He expressed confidence that the support provided by Governor Aiyedatiwa and coordinated efforts among party stakeholders would strengthen the APC’s campaign preparations ahead of the 2027 polls.
