Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, is expected to commission a newly completed administrative block at Omoluorogbo Grammar School, Akure, on Saturday as the institution marks its 50th anniversary.
The Governor will also perform the groundbreaking ceremony for two new four-classroom blocks initiated by the school’s alumni association to improve teaching and learning conditions.
The projects form part of a broader legacy infrastructure initiative comprising four classroom blocks aimed at addressing the school’s infrastructural needs.
The commissioning and groundbreaking ceremonies are scheduled to hold at the school premises on October 31, 2026, during the grand finale of the golden jubilee celebration.
The anniversary, themed “Celebrating Our Legacy, Shaping the Future,” will feature alumni reunions, mentorship activities, inter-house sports, cultural presentations and the launch of the school’s golden jubilee legacy project.
